Essential

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willing to complete within 2 years)
At least 2 years’ experience in residential childcare, including work with EBD/trauma
Confident leading shifts and supporting staff
Strong safeguarding knowledge and clear professional boundaries
Excellent communication, report writing, and record-keeping skills
Emotionally resilient, calm under pressure, child-focused, and reflective
Full UK driving licence; willing to work shifts, weekends, sleep-ins

Desirable

Working towards (or holding) the Level 5 Leadership & Management Diploma
Previous senior / shift-lead experience in a children’s home
Familiarity with Children’s Homes Regs 2015, Ofsted framework, and PACE/Attachment approaches
Experience writing care plans, risk assessments, or mentoring colleagues
