• £26,500 – £27,700 (Excluding 8 sleep-ins per month paid at £55 per night)

Residential Support Worker in Banham, Norfolk
What You’ll Do
Work a rolling rota, starting at 9am until 9:30am the following day, with a sleep - in included, averaging 9 shifts per month.
Support daily routines including but not limited to: school runs, activities, meals, bedtime settling
Build therapeutic relationships and model calm, positive behaviou
Help young people attend education, appointments, and community events
Keep the home safe, clean, and welcoming; complete H&S checks and daily logs
Act as Key Worker (with training) and contribute to care plans and reviews
Champion children’s voice in meetings, schools, and decision-making
Work closely with Seniors and Managers; ask for help, offer help
Take on any reasonable task needed to keep the home running smoothly
Qualifications Required
Essential
Genuine passion for working with children or young people (voluntary or professional)
Willing to complete the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 2 years
Good teamwork, communication, basic IT and record-keeping skills
Understanding of safeguarding principles
Resilient, patient, reflective, and calm under pressure
Full UK driving licence and flexibility for shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins
Desirable
Level 3 Diploma already held
6+ months in residential, education, or youth-work setting
Awareness of trauma-informed practice (PACE, Attachment)
Experience supporting young people with emotional or behavioural difficulties (EBD)
